Privacy and analytics

Google Analytics 4 is used only if you allow it. Cookies measure visits, return visits, devices, referral sources and activities such as strolling, postcards and shop links. Your resident names, designs and design-transfer URL data are not sent to analytics. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled.

Analytics cookies are configured for 90 days. Your choice is stored in this browser for 180 days. Change it anytime under Guide → Analytics preferences. Declining stops future measurement and removes this site's analytics cookies; it does not delete data already sent. All village features remain available without analytics.

Joining stores and publishes your resident number, name, design and joining time in the shared Netlify database. Clearing browser data does not remove shared residents. Drafts and older local residents remain on this device. Rate limits use a keyed hash of the IP address, not a public raw IP, with expired records removed on subsequent admissions. Contact the official shop for moderation or removal requests. Hosting, fonts and linked external services have their own data practices. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner sites. Contact us through the official shop.

Everyone’s Hanibon

Our team manually adds official Hanibon plush photos received by DM after confirming publication permission. We publish the photo, a broad country or city, an optional display name and caption. Map markers show representative country or city centers; we do not register addresses or exact photo coordinates. Public images are re-encoded to remove EXIF/GPS, XMP and other metadata. Details visible in the image, such as faces, addresses and license plates, must be checked before publication. Permission for social media promotion is checked separately. You do not need to use your real name.

For visitors who allow analytics, we measure map visits, visible photos, marker opens, sharing actions, copied links and shop visits using Google Analytics. Photos, names, captions and locations are not sent. Only the opaque photo ID accompanies a photo-view event. A photo view is counted once per photo per page visit. A sharing action does not confirm a social media post, and a shop visit does not confirm a purchase. To request a change or removal, DM @honey_bomb_pop on Instagram or X.

My Hanibon and editing

Your resident name, outfit, number and joining time are public. Your private editing key is stored in your browser; the server stores only its hash. The key is sent over a secure connection when you update your Hanibon. Clearing browser storage can remove your ability to edit. A transfer file can be saved from My Hanibon; anyone holding it can edit your Hanibon, so keep it private. Outfit update times and version numbers are also stored.
